7. Riott Squad

The Riott Squad have become something of a modern day nWo; with Liv Morgan being the Razor Ramon of the group, Sarah Logan being big bad Kevin Nash, and of course Ruby Riott is our defacto Hollywood Hogan.

Putting their individual characteristics aside, the comparisons between Riott Squad and nWo mostly widdle down to the juvenile joy which both groups take in committing acts of chaos.

We’ve seen The Riott Squad resort to childish antics like harassing backstage employees or scribbling “R” on Bayley’s stomach with black lipstick. We’ve also seen them commit to truly sinister spectacles such as breaking the late Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart’s sunglasses in front of his daughter Natalya.

Whatever the degree of their delinquency may be, they commit these acts with a level of joy that hasn’t been expressed in pure villainy since Voltaire sang “When You’re Evil.”

Honestly, Riott Squad would have ranked higher on the list had they had a few more significant wins this year. Then again, considering their leader took Charlotte Flair to the limit in a SmackDown Women’s Championship match at Fastlane and the entire unit has shared the ring with legends like Lita and Trish Stratus, The Riott Squad still did alright for themselves. Here’s to a bigger 2019 for the faction.
