5. Money In The Bank

WrestleMania 21 saw the debut of the Money in the Bank ladder match, a match that would help launch the careers of countless superstars over the years.  The year 2010 saw the Money in the Bank match get its own pay-per-view and despite many claiming the WrestleMania-era Money in the Bank ladder matches were better, it hasn’t lost much of a step.

Money In The Bank 2018 saw a big card of matches, including a surprisingly-solid match that saw Daniel Bryan defeat Big Cass.  Bobby Lashley vs. Sami Zayn was a joke, but Seth Rollins vs. Elias for the Intercontinental Championship was high-quality from start to finish with The Architect retaining his title.  The women’s Money in the Bank ladder match tore the house down next with a guaranteed women’s championship opportunity at stake.

Alexa Bliss outlasted Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Ember Moon, Lana, Naomi, Natalya, and Sasha Banks to earn a guaranteed Raw Women’s Championship opportunity.  Roman Reigns vs. Jinder Mahal never had a chance to succeed, but it was decent.  Carmella vs. Asuka was pretty good, but AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura in a Last Man Standing match for the WWE Championship was absolutely phenomenal with Styles retaining his title in a match of the year candidate.

Ronda Rousey vs. Nia Jax for the Raw Women’s Championship was solid, but it got even crazier when Bliss cashed in her Money in the Bank contract to win the title herself.  And then the main event men’s Money in the Bank ladder match was great as well with Braun Strowman getting the win over Bobby Roode, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Kofi Kingston, Rusev, Samoa Joe, and The Miz.

This was a great pay-per-view outing by the WWE and could be argued as the best Money In The Bank pay-per-view since the famous 2011 event.
