The Royal Rumble is always an event filled with surprises. Find out what unexpected debuts WWE might have in store for wrestling fans at the pay-per-view in 2019!

Every year, The Royal Rumble always seems to surprise wrestling fans by showcasing competitors who have yet to make an official main roster debut.

In 2018, those unexpected superstars were the NXT Champion at the time, Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas, the reigning NXT Women’s Champion at that time Kairi Sane, and none other than Undisputed Era’s Adam Cole himself (Bay Bay!).

While they were all unsuccessful in their efforts in their respective Royal Rumble matches, they provided a jolt of excitement that is oftentimes needed in matches that tend to last close to an hour.

Considering the growing history of competitors who have been brought up from NXT for this marquee pay-per-view, its a fair bet to say we will see yet another set of surprise entrants make their exciting unofficial main roster debuts this year.

The fact that we will get some new, and probably brief, NXT call-ups is easy to see though, figuring out just who those debuting superstars will be is the tricky part.

With Royal Rumble matches known to have more twists in them than a Raymond Chandler novel, the challenge will be whether or not we can muster the incomparable detective skills of Phillip Marlowe to figure out who might be gracing our televisions in the 2019 editions of those thrilling matches.
