5. What are the WrestleMania plans for The Man?
Picking up from where we left off, Lynch’s ticket to the upcoming Royal Rumble has been confirmed. The Man now has a date with destiny and an opportunity to face the current SmackDown Women’s Champion, “The Empress of Tomorrow” Asuka.
Will Lynch be able to recapture the title from Asuka? Or will she fall prey to the Asuka Lock like may women did back when Asuka was still an unbeatable bad ass who ruled the Women’s division?
While it is true that Asuka’s booking has seriously tarnished her star power and aura, she is a formidable force on any day. Even against someone as popular as Becky Lynch, Asuka can go toe-to-toe with her in the ring and may be even come out on top. But if that happens, what will The Man do?
Will she still find her way to the Royal Rumble match, pull off double duty and once again come out on top? Taking the title off of Asuka so soon would further diminish her star power and damage her even more.
Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey is a dream match for many that never came to fruition. It is a match well worthy of being the main event of this year’s WrestleMania. With Lynch in line to recapture the SmackDown Women’s Championship, the odds of this match are lower than ever.
