WWE Royal Rumble 2019: 3 Superstars That Need A Win The Most

1. Seth Rollins
It would be pretty hard to dispute the notion that Seth Rollins was the superstar of the year in the WWE in 2018 for the Raw brand. Throughout all of the chaos and lack of direction that plagued the brand throughout much of 2018, The Architect was a consistent bright spot.
Rollins carried the Intercontinental Championship with pride throughout much of the year until losing the title at TLC. However, that title loss and subsequent failed attempt to recapture the title could be a blessing in disguise and just what the doctor ordered for The Architect heading into the Royal Rumble. It’s been a while since Rollins was in the world title picture, but it feels imminent.
The Universal Championship is in desperate need of rejuvenation. In fact, saying it’s in desperate need is an insult to desperate things. What better superstar to finally get the Universal Championship back on track than the most consistent superstar the red brand has to offer? The first step to accomplishing this could be a men’s Royal Rumble match win.
The Architect has never won a Royal Rumble match in his career, so seeing him win the 2019 men’s Royal Rumble match could be the first step in heading to WrestleMania 35 as Brock Lesnar’s challenger for the Universal Championship. He could realistically earn that right in another match sometime in the future, but seeing him win the rumble would be much more impactful and fitting.
It’s sometimes hard to say someone needs to win a match like the Royal Rumble match, but The Architect could greatly benefit from winning his first-ever Royal Rumble match and going on to headline WrestleMania 35.
