The WWE Royal Rumble is always full of surprises. Names from the past and the future both show up looking for an ultimate opportunity. With only a few spots left to grab, this year we are expecting to see NXT  make their mark once again.

In the past years, the WWE Royal Rumble has been used as a proving ground for some of the upcoming talent from NXT. In the past we have seen “The Perfect 10” Tye Dillinger make his surprise debut at the number 10 position. Last year, we were treated to the surprise arrivals of then NXT Champion Andrade “Cien” Almas and Adam Cole… Bay Bay in the men’s rumble.

In the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble match, NXT made their presence with the arrivals of Kairi Sane and Ember Moon. NXT has continued to make a mark each year and we are expecting the trend to continue this year. With two more huge Royal Rumble matches coming up, we are expecting to see more of NXT’s finest showing up.

5. Kona Reeves

If we are going to make a list about NXT’s finest then we have no other choice than to include this man. The self-proclaimed finest, Kona Reeves has made his name known over the past year. In 2018, Kona Reeves made it his ultimate goal to prove to everybody that he is truly NXT’s finest athlete. While he did a great job of showing his skill throughout 2018, Kona is still struggling to really solidify his spot.

Although, if there was ever a place that one’s spot matters it is in the Royal Rumble. I believe that if they do call Kona Reeves number at the 2019 Royal Rumble that he will finally have the opportunity to prove himself to the WWE Universe. With a great showing in the Royal Rumble, NXT will have no other choice but to give the devil his due.

Kona has shown in the past that he has the charisma and ability to go in the ring. People are sleeping on this guy in my opinion. Not only is he the finest of NXT, Kona Reeves is the finest of surprise entrants.
