WWE: Mandy Rose vs. Naomi Just Got Even More Heated

Mandy Rose and Naomi are involved in the most personal rivalry in WWE, and this year’s Royal Rumble added some more intrigue to the feud.

Over the past several weeks, Mandy Rose has had an obsession with ruining Naomi’s life on WWE SmackDown. She’s tried to ruin her marriage, getting inside Naomi’s head and then defeating her within minutes in a match on the go-home episode of SmackDown before the Royal Rumble.

Frustrated by the incredibly disappointing loss that took the wind out of many fans, Naomi entered the Royal Rumble with her eyes squarely fixed on Mandy. Naomi charged after her, and Mandy simply had no answer for “The Glow”. The two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion used her quickness and creativity to eliminate Rose, who entered the Rumble as the No. 3 entrant, and get some revenge on the Absolution star.

After Ember Moon hit Naomi with a shot to the mid-section on the apron, Rose saw her opportunity. She grabbed Naomi for a powerbomb on the barricade, but Naomi used her flexibility to somehow get out of it, putting her feet on the barricade. Staying in the match against all odds, Naomi climbed up to the barricade with her feet, and started walking on the barricade like it was a balance-beam.

We were on the edge of her seats as Naomi kept her balance, walking all the way to the other side of the ring as she kept herself in the match. Naomi saw the steel steps, fired herself up, and took a leap. And of course, she made the jump!

Unfortunately, Naomi didn’t have time to celebrate, as Mandy came in from out of nowhere, swept Naomi off her feet, and eliminated her biggest rival. The WWE Universe was unsurprisingly incensed at Mandy’s heelish actions, because after all the hard work Naomi did to keep herself in the match, Rose simply knocked Naomi off the steel steps after having already been eliminated herself.

Though Mandy defeated Naomi in singles competition last week, we all knew that this rivalry wouldn’t reach its completion. Following Rose’s actions at the Rumble, this feud has only become more heated. Naomi got the better of Mandy inside the ring, but it was Rose who got the last laugh in typically cheap fashion.

Mandy is willing to compromise any moral in order to get to the top, as we saw with her pursuit of Jimmy Uso. She, of course, didn’t really care about Jimmy, but she was more interested in getting inside Naomi’s head for her own benefit. And when Naomi had her beat in the Rumble and used all of her skills to stay in the match, Rose still found a way to take a shortcut at get what she wanted.

Naomi will be able to exact revenge on Rose one day, but Mandy has shown that she will push Naomi to her limit. There is no limit to how far Mandy will go to make Naomi’s life miserable en route to creating her own path to the SmackDown Women’s Championship, and after obtaining some more heat, Mandy’s confrontation with a livid Naomi on Tuesday will be worth watching closely.
