The Feb. 4 edition of WWE Raw saw a few key developments take shape with Elimination Chamber less than two weeks away and the road to WrestleMania continuing to heat up.

Last night’s WWE Raw was a big night for the Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch feud as well as a nice mix of nostalgia and the present day from time to time with a couple WWE Hall of Famers in action.

The road to WrestleMania is still being paved, but it’s getting smoother every single week.  With that being said, let’s take a look at five key takeaways from the Feb. 4 edition of WWE Raw.

5. The WWE Is Insulting Fans’ Intelligence With The Revival’s Booking

The list of superstars that fans believe the WWE has ruined is a long one in the first place, but it has been taken to a new level lately with a tag team that has a lot of potential.  The Revival is a throwback tag team that is looking to bring prestige back to tag team wrestling, but it just hasn’t worked out.

Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder have been so widely mistreated creatively over the past few months that it’s almost like the WWE is purposely sabotaging them by having them lose title match after title match.  Last night saw a Fatal 4-Way tag team match featuring The Revival, Lucha House Party, Heavy Machinery, and The B-Team to determine the new number one contenders.

This felt like a Heavy Machinery win was coming given the team’s recent call-up to the main roster and none of the other teams involved felt like serious threats.  The match was relatively long given the circumstances, but when things started breaking down towards the end, Dawson and Wilder managed to take advantage.

The Revival got the win and, for about the sixth time in recent weeks, will get a Raw Tag Team Championship opportunity against Chad Gable and Bobby Roode.  The problem with this booking is how it is insulting fans’ intelligence time after time.  When you see a team get countless title opportunities, only for none of the matches to end normally and The Revival failing to win the titles every time, it just becomes hard to get invested anymore.

Fans see a legit tag team getting treated this poorly and it’s insulting to what they know as wrestling fans, and it might rear its ugly head again in the very near future.
