WWE Raw: Here For Becky Lynch Owning All The McMahons

facebooktwitterreddit

Stephanie McMahon suspended Becky Lynch on last week’s episode of WWE Raw for the weakest of reasons, so it’s no surprise that the “McMahon Family” has invited The Man back to Raw for another confrontation.

Becky Lynch ascends to greater heights with each passing week, and WWE Raw has become another showcase for The Man. Fully expected to face Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women’s Championship in the first ever women’s match to main event WrestleMania, Becky is poised to become WWE’s next big crossover star.

Of course, the biggest stars in WWE eventually get the rub of working with the McMahons in segments, and Becky accomplished the elusive task of owning Stephanie McMahon in a segment. In response to being suspended by the so-called “Billion Dollar Princess”, Becky hit back, physically assaulting Stephanie and wreaking havoc on the officials who stormed the ring.

Selling the ill-effects of a knee injury that caused Stephanie to be concerned for Becky’s WrestleMania status, The Man stole Monday Night Raw again.

And she’ll be back for more on Feb. 11. WWE announced that the McMahon Family has invited Becky back to the show despite her suspension. This is because Becky beat up Stephanie and slapped Triple H in what may have been the best segment of the week. Lynch has made SmackDown Live her show over the past few months, so it’s great to see her bringing that high level of work to Raw – a show that has sorely needed someone with her talent.

I’m very much here for Becky making an example out of the entire McMahon Family, and that includes Vince McMahon, who is bound to confront Becky at some point, right? And if Becky embarrassed both Stephanie and Triple H in back-to-back nights, then imagine what she’ll do to a man who has been frog splashed by Kevin Owens and laid out by AJ Styles in less important programs.

It’s also telling that Shane McMahon hasn’t bothered to get in the way of The Man on Tuesday nights, because he knows her all too well after two years; it’s best to step aside and let Becky do her thing, lest you want to get punched square in the throat by one of wrestling’s greatest current working punches.

Becky’s appearance on WWE Raw this week could be even better than her performance against Stephanie last week or her face-off against The King of Kings. The Man is picking up so much steam in the build-up to her WrestleMania match against Ronda Rousey – and potentially Charlotte Flair – and a third straight segment with the McMahon Family further seals this idea that WWE is priming Becky, who has upstaged everyone she’s been in a segment with from Rousey to John Cena, to be its next top star.
