WWE Raw Grades: Rowdy Ronda Rousey Outlasts Ruby Riott

The Feb. 18 edition of WWE Raw was a night filled with several debuts of top NXT superstars just 24 hours after an action-packed Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

Last night’s WWE Raw felt a bit slow moving at times, but it ultimately featured several important moments and new faces that could drastically change the course of the red brand moving forward.

The final pay-per-view stop on the road to WrestleMania is Fastlane in about three weeks, but things will undoubtedly continue to pick up in the meantime.  With that being said, let’s take a look at a few grades from the Feb. 18 edition of WWE Raw.

5. Opening Segment

A lot has been going down in the WWE in recent memory with Elimination Chamber on Sunday and the continuing to develop road to WrestleMania taking shape.  One of the WWE’s biggest voices made sure to wrap up everything that has been going on last night on WWE Raw.

Triple H kicked off last night’s show and basically just reminded everyone what happened the previous night at Elimination Chamber.  He mentioned how Sasha Banks and Bayley made history, Finn Balor won the Intercontinental Championship, Kofi Kingston stole the show, and how Becky Lynch stormed into the ring and attacked both Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey with her crutches.

The Game went a little farther on the Lynch situation by saying he actually thought her actions were pretty cool, but in a corporate sense, if she did anything like that again, she would be arrested on the spot.  Triple H then turned his attention towards last night’s WWE Raw itself by announcing several new faces from NXT would be making their red brand debut last night, and they were some of the biggest names in NXT history.

He announced that Ricochet, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, and Aleister Black would make their Monday night debut and they all made a pretty good impact last night.  The Game then left things with an impromptu tables match between Baron Corbin and Braun Strowman.  There wasn’t much to this segment, but his announcement of the NXT stars debuting was the biggest highlight.

It was simple and to the point, but last night’s opening segment was pretty good all things considered.
