WWE Raw: Get Excited, Because Roman Reigns Will Make An Appearance
For years, Roman Reigns was the undisputed top star of WWE Raw, and “The Big Dog” will make an appearance on the Feb. 25 episode to update fans on his battle with leukemia.
On the Oct. 22 episode of WWE Raw, Roman Reigns informed the WWE Universe that he’d have to relinquish the Universal Championship due to a battle with leukemia – a disease he had previously battled in his life before it returned last fall.
Reigns was WWE’s top star, and he has been sorely missed on Monday nights. Though Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Sasha Banks, and now Becky Lynch (among others) have provided WWE fans with plenty of great moments on Raw, the show just hasn’t felt the same without Reigns’s sure-handed presence; it seemed like he was on his way to being the best Universal Champion in the title’s history, too.
Per WWE, Reigns will return on the Feb. 25 episode of Raw this Monday to update the WWE Universe on his battle with cancer, and fans will be on their seats, hoping for the best possible news. As a collective fanbase, we’ve been sharing photos of Reigns, praying for him, and remembering all the great moments in his career. While it’s not for us to say whether he will wrestle again or not, all of us have been hopeful and optimistic.
Whatever Reigns says on Monday, we’re excited to see him and are hoping for the best. It’s going to be amazing to see Roman back on our screens, and I’m sure the crowd will react as enthusiastically as they always have for one of WWE’s most talented wrestlers and under-appreciated characters.
Reigns’s Shield brothers, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, seem to have reconciled after Ambrose turned on Rollins on the night of Reigns’s announcement. So if Reigns participates in a WWE storyline on Monday night, there’s plenty of room for him to elevate Rollins’s Universal Championship feud against Brock Lesnar, who was memorably defeated by Reigns at SummerSlam 2018 after an intensely personal rivalry that spanned several months.
There’s hope that Rollins can dethrone “The Beast” at WrestleMania 35, and I have a feeling Reigns will send support to his friend.
Most importantly, it’ll great to see Reigns out there on Monday, and, again, we pray for his health and that he is in a good state of mind. His appearance on Monday has a chance to be a special moment for WWE fans.
