While Kofi Kingston will have an opportunity at the WWE Championship at Fastlane, here’s why he should be the champion at WrestleMania 35.
Kofi Kingston could be well on his way to capturing his very first WWE Championship following his 11-year stint in the company. That is a sentence that I never thought that I would be writing in 2019, but it doesn’t come without merit. In a span of two weeks, the West African Buzzsaw has successfully pinned the WWE Champion twice, he’s delivered two Iron Man-lite in-ring performances and made us all not only want to see him win the company’s top title, but believe it could actually happen.
All of this aforementioned build-up has brought us to today. Days ago on SmackDown, the record eight time Tag Team Champion had earned another shot at Daniel Bryan’s WWE Championship after pinning the champion in two clean non-title matches in two back to back weeks. He will be getting his title match at Fastlane, but in all honestly, most of us want to see Kofi get his title match and ensuing win at WrestleMania.
Judging by all of the rumors and reports of Kofi Kingston among the possible challengers currently being in discussions for Daniel Bryan’s WrestleMania opponent, a lot of us want to see Kofi Kingston win the WWE Championship on the biggest stage that WWE has to offer. We like to think that WWE has a finish in mind for Fastlane that would keep the former Intercontinental Champion eligible for another proper shot at WrestleMania where we hope that Kofi Kingston will win. Why? Well, let’s talk about it.
