The Feb. 25 edition of WWE Raw was a night filled with celebration, emotion, and key storyline developments on the road to WrestleMania in a rather action-packed Monday night.

Last night’s WWE Raw saw one of the best moments the red brand has ever seen with the return of Roman Reigns and later in the night, the unpredictable 70th birthday celebration of The Nature Boy Ric Flair.

Things are heating up at the right time and with Fastlane less than two weeks away, the final pay-per-view stop on the road to WrestleMania is near.  Let’s take a look at a few grades from the Feb. 25 edition of WWE Raw.

5. Opening Segment

The WWE universe was in collective shock after the announcement back in October that Roman Reigns would be stepping away from the WWE to focus on his battle with Leukemia.  Nobody knew when Reigns would be back, but it was announced a few days ago that he would make an announcement on last night’s WWE Raw.

This felt like a good news announcement given the outpouring of encouragement and support The Big Dog was getting.  Fans wouldn’t have to wait long to see Reigns when he opened up the show to a massive reaction by the WWE universe in attendance last night.  He took it all in and was noticeably overwhelmed with emotion and joy, which would continue throughout the entire segment.

Reigns thanked everyone that sent him well-wishes, good vibes, and everything else over the past few months.  This was as real as it gets and Reigns handled it perfectly in what has to be one of the most emotional segments in WWE Raw history.  However, after thanking everyone and leading into his big announcement, The Big Dog announced career and life-altering news.

He said that he is now in remission and back in the WWE.  The crowd exploded with applause and while Reigns walked towards the back, Seth Rollins came out and embraced him while the two were on the top of the ramp.  Simply put, this segment was fantastic and it shows how great pro wrestling can be when real emotion is involved.

Everyone is thrilled to see The Big Dog back and this was quite possibly one of the greatest segments in WWE history.

Final Grade: A+
