WWE Raw: Roman Reigns Scheduled For Every Episode This WrestleMania Season
This Monday, Roman Reigns made his return to WWE Raw, informing the wrestling world that his cancer is in remission. He then followed up his announcement with a trio of superman punches and a spear, emphatically punctuating his television return.
For months, Roman Reigns was sorely missed by wrestling fans, as he needed to fight leukemia for a second time. On this week’s episode of WWE Raw, Reigns announced to the fans that his cancer in his remission, and The Big Dog is back in his – ahem, our – yard.
It will be interesting to see what the road to WrestleMania 35 holds for Reigns, who has been a fixture in the main event of WrestleMania for years. He’s faced Brock Lesnar (x2), Triple H, and the Undertaker in WrestleMania main events, winning the WWE Championship off of the promotion’s “COO” at ‘Mania 32 in his crowning moment.
According to Wrestling Inc.’s Marc Middleton, Reigns is scheduled for every episode of Raw this WrestleMania season. WWE has added his name to the Raw schedule for every show through May 6 in Cincinnati, and Middleton writes that Reigns will be expected to add to the others, such as the May 13 taping in London. It’s likely that WWE hasn’t advertised everyone for the scheduled events beyond May 6.
There will be plenty of speculation about Reigns’s WrestleMania 35 opponent, and he could have an amazing match with anyone on the roster. As of right now, there are plenty of big names for Reigns to face at the Show of Shows, such as Drew McIntyre or a Part 2 match against John Cena, whom he beat at No Mercy 2017. Reigns has only faced the best of the best at WrestleMania, such as Lesnar in last year’s main event for the Universal Championship, and he could either face another legend at WrestleMania 35 or elevate a rising star.

But since Reigns defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33 in a heartfelt send-off for The Phenom, perhaps he could be involved in a retirement match this year. Rumors have swirled regarding Kurt Angle potentially being involved in a retirement match this year, and while McIntyre would be the optimal opponent for the Olympic gold medalist, maybe Roman is worth considering as a high-profile, well-respected wrestler to retire Angle.
Whatever the case, words cannot describe how great it is to see Reigns back on television every week, and there’s no doubt that Monday Night Raw is his show.
