Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair headlines WWE Fastlane 2019 in Cleveland, but there are a few other intriguing matchups worth watching on Sunday, including Andrade vs. Rey Mysterio on the pre-show.
Though WWE Fastlane 2019 is largely seen as a filler Pay Per View before WrestleMania 35, perhaps we’ll see some surprises take place on Sunday at the Quicken Loans Arena. Hopefully one of those surprises doesn’t happen when Becky Lynch takes on Charlotte Flair, because Becky needs to win that match in order to remain in the main event of WrestleMania.
Other notable matches on the card include the SmackDown Women’s Championship match between Asuka and Mandy Rose, a pre-show battle pitting Rey Mysterio against Andrade, and a WWE Championship bout between Daniel Bryan and the returning Kevin Owens, who controversial replaced Kofi Kingston at Vince McMahon’s behest.
Last year’s Fastlane show, headlined by Charlotte Flair vs. Ruby Riott and a Six-Pack Challenge for the WWE Championship, was a pleasant surprise, and there’s a strong chance this year’s version of the PPV is even better. On paper, it doesn’t pack quite the same punch as other “B” PPVs, but with Becky and Charlotte ready to crush it again, this is a show that shouldn’t be counted out.
So let’s take a shot at predicting how the eight announced matches could go as Cleveland gets ready to reenforce the “Q” for the upcoming Charlotte vs. Becky and Andrade vs. Rey barnburners.
