WWE Raw: Brock Lesnar Will Appear On Mar. 18 In Chicago

On the Mar. 11 episode of WWE Raw after Fastlane, Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman had a confrontation that led to a match between Rollins and Shelton Benjamin, during which Brock Lesnar’s “Advocate” revealed that the Beast Incarnate will finally show up to work next week.

Brock Lesnar rarely shows up on WWE Raw despite being the Universal Champion, such is his gimmick at this point in his career, but Paul Heyman announced on the Mar. 11 episode of the show that Lesnar will appear in Chicago for next week’s episode at the Allstate Arena.

Heyman made this revelation during an impromptu match between Seth Rollins and Shelton Benjamin, who is a part of the WWE SmackDown Live brand. But Benjamin and Lesnar have plenty of history as former University of Minnesota amateur wrestling standouts and Ohio Valley Wrestling stars, so a Minnesota Stretching Crew reunion would be quite the sight.

Benjamin took Rollins to Suplex City Lite, ambushing Rollins from behind during The Architect’s verbal back-and-forth with Heyman. Of course, Rollins got the last laugh, winning via The Stomp after a solid match.

During the match, Heyman took umbrage with what Michael Cole and the announce team were saying about Lesnar, and it will be interesting to see how he and Lesnar address the WWE Universe next week in the fiery city of Chicago, which will be begging for Rollins to “Burn It Down” less than a month before his Universal Title match against The Beast.

On tonight’s WWE Raw in Pittsburgh, the fans chanted “Slay The Beast” and “Burn It Down” when Rollins’s Shield brother Roman Reigns hyped them up for the WrestleMania 35 Universal Title match between Rollins and Lesnar. The WWE Universe is firmly behind Rollins, who had an incredible year in 2018, and next week’s encounter with Lesnar and Heyman could help him immensely as the build to their ‘Mania match continues.
