WWE is always game for a relationship with mainstream stars, and to help celebrate the upcoming SmackDown move to FOX, they’ve reportedly reached an agreement with rapper Eminem.

According to Fightful.com’s Sean Ross Sapp, Eminem and WWE have reached an agreement that will include the Detroit native appearing on an episode of SmackDown Live later this year. This fall, SmackDown will move to the FOX Network as part of a mega deal, and Eminem is the type of mainstream star who can help both WWE and FOX feel like SmackDown is getting as much hype as possible.

Sapp also reports that Eminem will contribute to the WWE 2K20 soundtrack, which has been curated by names such as Jay-Z and The Rock in the past. It will be interesting to see what Eminem’s involvement in the 2K20 soundtrack entails, and with hope that Becky Lynch, the biggest star right now, is the cover star of the upcoming game, WWE 2K20 could be the most hyped-up edition of the game in the franchise’s history.

But that’s not all that’s being reported by Sapp, who first broke the news on Fightful’s awesome Patreon service “Fightful Select”. They are also reportedly “planning” on creating a customized championship belt for Eminem. That’s probably the least notable nugget here, but, well, maybe Em picks an interesting theme for his custom title.

This is exciting news for Eminem fans, and, for the rest of us, it’s yet another example of WWE working with a big-name celebrity. Eminem is a megastar on a global scale thanks to an incredibly successful hip-hop career, and I’m sure the real “Stans” will be excited to see him on SmackDown this fall, where he’s sure to have an interesting run-in with the Dr. of Thuganomics himself. (Or, at least, I’m hoping that’s what ends up happening.)

Let’s just say, I can’t imagine what Eminem will do on a live WWE show, but I’m very intrigued to see what he and the company have “planned” at this later date.
