4. First ever SmackDown Women’s Champion

As the only member of the Four Horsewomen to never hold the NXT Women’s Championship, the WWE brand split in 2016 presented an opportunity to Becky Lynch. With Charlotte and Sasha Banks drafted to Raw and Bayley still defending her gold in NXT, SmackDown Live’s first female pick was Becky Lynch.

But the WWE Draft was just the beginning. Lynch became the centerpiece of the blue brand’s women’s division at WWE Backlash in September 2016, outlasting five other Superstars in an elimination six-pack challenge, tapping out Carmella to the Dis-Arm-Her to become the inaugural SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Backlash was significant not just because Lynch won her first championship in WWE, but also because Becky Balboa proved she was ready to lead the division. As SmackDown’s champion, Lynch would battle Alexa Bliss in one of the feuds of the year before eventually losing the championship to Little Miss Bliss after an 84-day reign.

It’s hard to count the number of memorable matches in Lynch’s career, but her first title victory will always rank near the top. The two-time SmackDown champ is seeking her first red-brand title at WrestleMania, but three years ago at WWE Backlash, she proved she was the Bex on SmackDown Live.
