On the Mar. 26 episode of WWE SmackDown, Kurt Angle will have his final match on the “Blue Brand”, as he will take on another wrestling legend in AJ Styles.

At WWE WrestleMania 35 on Apr. 7, Kurt Angle will have his “Farewell” match in WWE, ending one of the most prolific careers in wrestling history. Angle’s opponent at the Show of Shows? Baron Corbin, though wrestling fans remain unconvinced and still see John Cena as a potential opponent for the Olympic gold medalist.

Until then, Angle is having weekly matches with current talent, and he’s already defeated two of the brightest young stars on Raw in Apollo Crews and Chad Gable, who have both looked up to Angle in their own careers.

This week, WWE announced that Angle will take his talents to SmackDown Live and taken on another WWE/TNA legend in AJ Styles.

The mutual respect between Angle, a current WWE Hall of Famer, and Styles, a sure-fire future Hall of Famer, is off the charts. Though Angle’s matches with Apollo and Gable were good, this battle against Styles should be even better, specifically because WWE could give them some more time to work with.

Styles could be considered the favorite, given that he had a lengthy WWE Championship reign from late 2017 to 2018. However, his WrestleMania 35 opponent, Randy Orton, is always stalking as WWE’s “Apex Predator”, and he figures to interfere in this match, potentially taking out two legends in the process.

But before the finish that builds towards the Styles/Orton feud at WrestleMania, Styles and Angle will likely put on the show. And the WWE Universe is certainly excited for these two big names to lock up inside the ring in Connecticut.

dark. Next. Will Kofi put his career on the line at WrestleMania?

Suplexes, submissions, and maybe even a 450 Splash will be headed the WWE Universe’s way on Tuesday, Mar. 26, and it will hopefully be a fitting final match for Angle on SmackDown Live. After all, Angle was once a part of the vaunted “SmackDown Six”, alongside wrestlers like Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero.

Of course, I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of Angle facing Daniel Bryan one last time, because that’s a huge dream match fans haven’t seen yet…
