Drew McIntyre demands an answer from Roman Reigns

Next up on WWE Raw, we saw Drew McIntyre call out Roman Reigns to answer his challenge for WrestleMania. Before we saw Roman, we got a recap of McIntyre’s recent actions and words. McIntyre also explained that he could have finished Roman Reigns at any time, but said he simply chose not to.

There was a flaw in McIntyre’s speech as he then began to try and convince Roman Reigns not to accept his challenge, saying his family didn’t deserve to go through the beating he would receive at WrestleMania. It made sense for McIntyre to hype up his abilities like that, but the juxtaposition with wanting and not wanting Roman to accept his challenge felt off.

Roman Reigns finally made his way to the ring, and his words were simple. “Roman accepts your challenge,” he said before saying his next message wasn’t from Roman Reigns, telling McIntyre never to talk about his family again. Reigns then threw a hard punch and the brawl was on.

Reigns looked plenty healed from McIntyre’s attack two weeks ago, but his momentum was halted by a low blow from Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Psychopath followed it up with a Claymore to make yet another statement less than two weeks before he faces Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 35.

Grade: B+, Apparently almost great is the theme of the night. The logic flaw in McIntyre imploring Roman to both accept his challenge and not accept his challenge hurt this, but Drew’s promo work was still excellent, and the brawl between them was well done. This will lead to a great match at WrestleMania.
