Seth Rollins addresses the crowd about WrestleMania

It was then time on WWE Raw to hear from the man who will challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania, and Seth Rollins was clear from the start about how important his clash with Lesnar at WrestleMania will be. Rollins talked about how their match will define the future of this business and set the tone moving forward depending on who leaves as Universal Champion.

He then talked also about how much the match means to the fans, saying he’d been at an autograph signing recently and was constantly told by fans to “please beat Brock Lesnar.” Rollins was accepting of that weight, saying he has “no choice” but to beat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, and that himself at the WWE Universe will “march to the gates of Suplex City and burn it down.”

At least, he almost said that, but was interrupted by Paul Heyman before he could get the last word out. The “advocate” for Brock Lesnar thanked Rollins for informing him the Universal Title match at WrestleMania would now be a “handicap match” with Lesnar facing Rollins and the entire WWE Universe.

Heyman poked fun at this idea, even asking if Rollins now needed the “thoughts and prayers” of fans to win at WrestleMania, following it up by saying Rollins doesn’t have a thought in his head of how to beat Brock Lesnar or a prayer of doing so. After clearly claiming he expects his client to win at WrestleMania, Heyman began to leave.

As he made his way up the ramp, Rollins slipped out of the ring and ran up towards Heyman, who turned and immediately fell to the ground in fear of Rollins. Heyman quickly backpedaled, shouting that he only said those things because Brock wanted him to, and even saying he wants Seth to win at WrestleMania, looking very fearful that Rollins was about to attack him.

Seth looked fairly amused by the reaction, but followed up with a simple response. “I’m not asking for thoughts and prayers, I’m here to answer them,” Rollins said before stating one final time along with the crowd that he will “burn it down” at WrestleMania.

Grade: A+, This was a great segment and superb mic work by both Paul Heyman and Seth Rollins. The back and forth near the end and final words from Rollins really sunk in and hyped the impending Universal Title match at WrestleMania.
