Eight-Woman Tag Team Match: The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection & The Divas of Doom vs. The IIconics & The Samoan Slaughterhouse
Next up on WWE Raw, we saw all four teams in this Sunday’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match in action. This massive eight-woman tag match showed some clear tension from the start between Sasha Banks and Beth Phoenix, both of whom wanted to start the match.
Once we saw Phoenix in action, it was clear she was as powerful as ever. In the ring with Billie Kay, Phoenix lifted her high into the air, demonstrating her impressive strength and clearly sending a message to The IIconics. After Royce tried to help her partner, we saw Bayley and Banks come to the aid of their partner. Of course, Beth insisted she had things firmly under control and didn’t need their assistance.

Back from commercial, we saw Bayley facing off with The IIconics who were executing quick tags to keep her isolated. When they looked to tag in Tamina, their partner hopped off the apron and refused to make the tag. Bayley went to make a tag during this confusion, but it was Beth Phoenix who used a facepalm as a tag to put herself back in the match.
Once in, she went to hit the ropes but Tamina pulled down the middle rope and caused her to crumble to the outside. Phoenix responded with domination as she speared Tamina through the barricade at ringside. A few moments later we saw her back on her feet in the ring, and Peyton Royce decided slapping The Glamazon was a good idea.
Unsurprisingly, it was a terrible idea. The actions only woke up Phoenix, who responded by grabbing her arm and hoisting Royce into the air for the Glam Slam. After a pause, she slammed one-half of The IIconics into the mat and picked up the pinfall victory, which would be enough to capture the titles if she can repeat that feat on Sunday. The Divas of Doom stood tall, but we can expect some fantastic chaos from these four teams at WrestleMania 35.
Grade: A+, It was great to see Beth Phoenix back in action, which was clearly the focus of this. However, the match still did a great job of spotlighting each team and building the anticipation for Sunday.
