Kurt Angle’s Farewell to WWE Raw
Finally it was time for our final glimpse of Kurt Angle on WWE Raw. He made his way to the ring and thanked the crowd, seeming quite emotional about the reaction he was being given. We then heard an announcement about a video package celebrating the career of Kurt Angle. Looking taken aback, it was clear that Angle himself was not expecting it.
The package was fantastic, and when the camera turned to Angle we saw he was still very emotional. After that fantastic retrospective, the fun was interrupted by Baron Corbin. Angle’s WrestleMania opponent began to shout about the package showing ancient history and Angle being a shell of his former self. Corbin also blasted fans who have been claiming on social media that Kurt Angle deserves a better final opponent than Baron Corbin.
After the back and forth, Angle decided to challenge Corbin to an exhibition match tonight. For a moment it looked like Corbin would accept, but he refused to get in the ring. As he tried to retreat, Corbin was met by Rey Mysterio on the ramp. He was pushed towards the ring, and Mysterio proposed he face Corbin tonight to teach him some manners.
Corbin refused, but a brawl ensued moments later. Mysterio knocked Corbin to the mat, and Baron ate an Angle Slam moments later. It’s not clear if we’ll see Mysterio and Corbin face off later tonight or if Angle still has one more match on WWE Raw to come tonight.

Grade: A, I’m withholding some judgment until we know if Corbin is facing Mysterio tonight or if this really is the last we see of Angle. However, this segment overall was a great bit of sendoff for Angle and moment of hype for his planned match with Corbin. – They did later confirm a match between Mysterio and Corbin later tonight, so this may not be over.

Charlotte Flair is asked about her reaction to the “Winner Take All” stipulation
Backstage, we saw a short interview with SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair about the news that both titles will be on the line and Sunday’s main event will be “winner take all.” In response to being asked if she was blindsided, she talked about Asuka being blindsided on SmackDown Live last week and emphasized that she’ll break Becky Lynch’s leg and make Ronda Rousey tap out on Sunday.
She also stated she’s a professional, and won’t lose her cool in the tag team match against The Riott Squad later tonight. It was announced earlier in the night that if a member of their team turns on their partners, that first person to turn will be removed from the match on Sunday.
Grade: A, Short and sweet, this emphasized the trademark cockiness of Charlotte Flair and showed her confidence about both tonight and Sunday.
