6. Sami Zayn Returns

Where art thou, Sami Zayn?

‘The Underdog from the Underground’ has been out of action following double shoulder surgery last summer. WWE began airing vignettes hyping his return to Raw in mid-December, but seeing as how that was almost four months ago, fans have started to question if the company knows what the meaning of the word “soon” is.

It’s entirely possible WWE realized they made a mistake by bringing back Kevin Owens when they did and decided to hold off on Zayn’s return until after WrestleMania 35.

Truth be told, the timing would be perfect, as the rowdy post-WrestleMania crowd would undoubtedly lose their minds if his music were to hit.

Now the question is where Zayn should go upon his comeback: Raw or SmackDown Live? Yes, he was a member of the Raw roster before getting hurt, but so was Owens and he inexplicably returned on SmackDown. So, assuming the Brand Split means nothing these days, Zayn has a chance of joining his longtime friend/foe on the blue brand when he resurfaces.

Regardless, it’ll be great to have Zayn back on WWE TV sooner rather than later. He has sorely been missed and can be a valuable asset to the mid-card division on either show.
