5. Shayna Baszler Aligns with Ronda Rousey

It’s merely a matter of when and not if Shanya Baszler will arrive on the main roster, and when better than post-WrestleMania week?

Baszler has made great strides in NXT over the past year, having held the NXT Women’s Championship twice and set back challenges from the likes of Kairi Sane, Bianca Belair and Nikki Cross. She’ll be putting her gold up for grabs this Friday at TakeOver: New York in a Fatal 4-Way match, so the odds of her successfully retaining her title are not great.

‘The Queen of Spades’ has largely been unstoppable during her time in NXT, so what’s perfect about this Fatal 4-Way is that she doesn’t have to be pinned to lose the title. That would set her up to debut on either Raw or SmackDown Live immediately following WrestleMania 35.

Ronda Rousey will be defending her WWE Raw Women’s Championship against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in the main event of WrestleMania, and as of now, she is not favored to walk out with the title in tow. It’s also unknown what her immediate future holds considering she is not currently advertised for any WWE events after the post-WrestleMania Raw.

With that in mind, Baszler would be an ideal replacement for Rousey in the meantime on the Raw brand. She can feud with Lynch before reuniting with Rousey and the rest of the Four Horsewomen upon her eventual return.
