WWE WrestleMania 35 will feature some incredibly important matches, and one of those will pit Seth Rollins against Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. Like the rest of us, Becky Lynch is unsurprisingly supporting The Kingslayer in his quest to “Slay The Beast”.

Brock Lesnar has been an absentee champion on WWE Raw for far too long, and he needs to be removed as Universal Champion by any means necessary. Of course, Roman Reigns defeated Lesnar at SummerSlam 2018 for the title, and Lesnar only regained the championship after Reigns had to relinquish the title due to a second bout with leukemia, which he has since conquered.

Now, it will be up to Reigns’ Shield brother, Seth Rollins, to vanquish The Beast and bring a full-time champion to Monday nights again. It may be a longshot, given that Lesnar has beaten Finn Balor and Daniel Bryan in recent classics, but Rollins showed on the go-home episode of Raw that he’s willing to use any trick to dethrone Lesnar.

More importantly, Rollins also has the full support of the WWE Universe by his side, and that includes WWE’s biggest star, Becky Lynch. She’ll take on Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair in the first ever women’s main event of WrestleMania, and she’s fully expected to grab both titles and all the glory as wrestling’s biggest sensation in ages.

She also had the perfect way of summing up the stakes involved when Rollins and Lesnar square off on Sunday night, explaining why Rollins has to Slay The Beast.

Lynch told GQ’s Mick Rouse and Tom Philip in their full WrestleMania preview with her,

"“For the future of business, Seth Rollins needs to take that championship off of Brock Lesnar. It needs to be defended on shows. It’s not fair that it’s being held hostage. It’s not fair that you go to a live event and never get to see the Universal Championship being defended. If Seth Rollins is the champion, then we’re going to see that, because that man works his ass off and delivers every single time. He deserves to be the champion and the people deserve to have him as champion.”"

In promos on Raw and WWE.com exclusive segments, Seth Rollins has clearly made this match a fight for the future of Raw and the industry as a whole. This is Rollins’ chance to be that fighting champion, just as he was during his brilliant run in the summer of 2018 with the Intercontinental Championship. Rollins has put on classics with some of WWE’s best in-ring performers – Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor, and Dolph Ziggler among them – over the past year, and fans can only imagine what he’d be capable of in his first reign as Universal Champion.

Next. A wishlist for WrestleMania 35. dark

Becky Lynch is the perfect judge of star power as WWE’s most popular star today, and she’s always been for the people. That’s why her final line, “the people deserve to have him as champion,” is extra special.
