Shane McMahon and The Miz had a brutal Falls Count Anywhere match at WWE WrestleMania 35, followed by a brilliant way to finish the match.

The Miz and Shane McMahon had a Falls Count Anywhere match at WWE WrestleMania 35 that was just as aggressive as the build-up going into the big show. Especially after The Miz’s father made an ill-advised run-in. As soon as Daddy Miz got his pancake face flattened by Shane, the former WWE Champion turned this match into a whole new gear.

Miz spent the next few minutes tossing Shane up and down the arena. This saw Miz throwing him off of high scaffolds, nailing him with miscellaneous objects and choke bombing Shane through a table. The match would reach its zenith after Miz suplexed Shane off of what had to be a 10-15 ft high scaffold in what was the most shocking moment of the night so far. What was even more shocking came moments later.

When they hit the ground, the way they landed, Shane’s shoulder was on top of Miz’s body, technically making a pin even though both men were unconscious. Shane got the win.

Honestly, this ending was genius. The idea itself was brilliant and even more excellent in its execution.

Going into the match, both opponents had two different goals. Shane wanted to embarass his opponent by defeating him in front of his dad and thousands in attendance; the millions watching at home. The Miz just wanted to beat the unholy hell out of Shane McMahon. Both missions were accomplished.

The Miz got his revenge by absolutely obliterating The Chairman’s son from bell to bell. Meanwhile, Shane can gloat over a win – however undeserving it may be – and still looks credible as an emerging heel figure. Whether WWE decides to continue this feud or not, a finish like this makes both guys look strong with neither looking weak for a second.

It was perfect.
