WWE WrestleMania 35 Results: Seth Rollins will be the champion we deserve
WWE WrestleMania 35 kicked off with Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship, much to everyone’s surprise.
Call Paul Heyman a brilliant strategist, because he pulled a fast one on Seth Rollins and the WWE Universe by requesting that the Universal Championship match kick off WWE WrestleMania 35 if it isn’t going to be the main event.
Lesnar wasn’t waiting around for the bell to ring, as he attacked Rollins to try and gain an early advantage. He immediately hit Rollins with an F5 to the outside, and The Beast Slayer seemed to be in dire straits. Rollins scrambled to catch his breath, clearly thrown off by Lesnar’s early attack and decision to kick off the night. The Beast then smashed Rollins into both the ring apron and the barricades.
The match hasn’t even officially begun yet, and Lesnar tossed Rollins viciously into the chairs over the announce table twice, asserting a serious advantage over Seth after Heyman’s stroke of evil genius.
Once again, Lesnar simply tossed Rollins over the top rope after the match got official, making sure that The Kingslayer wouldn’t have a chance at getting anything going. And for a third time, Lesnar tossed Seth Rollins over the German announce table.
The beatdown continued to the outside before Lesnar finally threw Rollins back into the ring inhumanly, stalking his prey as Paul Heyman continued to talk trash.
Finally, the bell ring as Lesnar took Rollins to Suplex city, Seth’s limp body flopping around as Lesnar yelled “Suplex City, bitches!” He skied Rollins and stared at the WWE Universe, seeking revenge for Rollins’s cash-in at WrestleMania 31 four years ago.
The official checked in on Rollins again, and this was becoming uncomfortable for the WWE Universe. Rollins grimaced as Lesnar hoisted him up, but Rollins finally showed some fight, escaping the F5 and hitting a low blow after the referee bump. He still had some fight left despite Lesnar’s tactics!
Rollins then hit The Stomp! But he couldn’t capitalize! He hit another Stomp!
Not ready to give up at all, Rollins followed it up with another Stomp! And he scrambled to make the pin! 1-2-3!
No kick out.
Seth Rollins is the new Universal Champion! He Slayed The Beast! Rollins grabbed the Universal Title with the emotion of the man who finally reached the summit of WWE, and as he went up the ramp with the pyro off, stared down at the Universal Title, stared at the audience, screamed at the top of his lungs, and swung the title, a new king of WWE was crowned!
Lesnar sat in the middle of the ring pissed with Heyman above him, and Rollins gave us all the happy ending we deserved.
The Beast is slain, and we will remember this night of #ThreeStomps for a long time.
