From the booking to the pacing, it really felt like this year’s WrestleMania was one of the best in recent memory.

WWE nailed it at WrestleMania this year, plain and simple.

Everything about the show just felt better compared to recent years.

The pacing of the show was actually fairly solid, something which is incredible to say when talking about a gargantuan 7 and a half hour beast of a show.

The main event matches starting at the onset of the main card was a master stroke that I sincerely hope WWE keeps moving forward. Each match felt like it was given the room it needed to breathe and develop into something special as a result.

The weight of the slog that’s usually associated with WrestleMania’s nowadays was lessened considerably due to those emotionally charged matches being followed by multi-person melees or more fluid encounters. It helped to keep up about as much energy up as you could expect from a show that’s so long.

On top of that, those emotion-fueled main event matches all reached satisfying conclusions as well.

Going into the show, I have to admit that I too doubted whether or not WWE was going to do what was right and have all 3 main faces come out on top. To WWE’s credit, that’s exactly what happened though.

Seth Rollins finally put an end to Brock Lesnar’s absentee title reign, Kofi Kingston picked up his historic win, and Becky Lynch walked out of ‘The Showcase of The Immortals’ with both Women’s Championships.

As a fan, you can’t really ask for much more from the match results.

Now, I know there’s still some details that should have been ironed out. 7 and a half hours will always feel like too long of a show at the end of the day, no matter how the card is compiled. Becky Lynch’s win, although great, would have been better with a cleaner finish.

Those are both some very valid complaints about the show. There’s probably even a few more points to be debated too like Baron Corbin defeating Kurt Angle or the pacing of Batista versus Triple H too.

When all said and done, it still comes down to this. WrestleMania 35 was one of the best paced, best booked WrestleMania shows in years.

Arguably, the last WrestleMania which gave fans as satisfying of conclusions, while also maintaining a uniquely structured card best befitting of those conclusions, was WrestleMania 30. That was 5 years ago. Since then, we haven’t seen a WrestleMania come close to matching what was put out there for fans at MetLife Stadium.

We should all celebrate the fact that not only did WWE listen to the fans, but they did so in a way that gave us a memorable night of action worthy of the pro wrestling history books.
