WWE Money in the Bank 2019: Full Post-WrestleMania Card Prediction
Raw Women’s Championship Match: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Ronda Rousey
I know I’ve mentioned that mandatory rematches aren’t guaranteed anymore, but that doesn’t mean they won’t happen. Ronda Rousey has got to be fuming after being pinned out of nowhere by Becky Lynch to end WrestleMania 35. It was also Rousey’s very first pinfall loss since arriving in WWE one year ago. She will likely tear through any competition in her wake to earn another shot.
Becky Lynch had her amazing crowning moment at WrestleMania 35, pinning Ronda Rousey to become both the Raw Women’s Champion and SmackDown Women’s Champion. However, it came in a triple threat match. Since their bitter confrontation back before Survivor Series 2018, fans have been clamoring to see Rousey and Lynch square off in a one-on-one clash. This would finally see the clash we didn’t get to see at WrestleMania happen, and be a huge challenge for the new champion.
SmackDown Women’s Championship Match: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Charlotte Flair
But…didn’t I just predict Becky Lynch to face Ronda Rousey? Yes. Yes, I did. I don’t actually believe that WWE is unifying the Raw Women’s Championship and SmackDown Women’s Championship. With the Superstar Shake-up on the horizon, the brand split looks firmly intact. With that in mind, we’ve got a problem. Becky Lynch is holding two separate titles. If she’s going to be a dual champion, she’s going to have to pull double duty.
Lynch could be forced to defend both titles, even in the same night, if she hopes to continue to reign as a dual champion. It would be an extremely interesting scenario to see Lynch stuck facing both Rousey and Flair in separate singles matches on the same night, and could put both her recently won titles in jeopardy. Flair will likely be furious about losing her title without being pinned, and use all the leverage she can muster to guarantee a rematch is in her future.
