AJ Styles

It would be fitting for AJ Styles to remain on SmackDown Live after defeating Randy Orton at WrestleMania in a match that essentially confirmed the fact that he’s the landlord of SmackDown, but WWE may want to bring Styles to the Red Brand for the first time in his career. His post-TLC appearance on Raw was well-received in 2017, and it would be cool to see him compete for the Universal Championship.

There’s no doubt that AJ Styles vs. Seth Rollins would be a dream match of epic proportions, and it could be built wonderfully as a SummerSlam match. The story-telling, athleticism, and grappling in this match would be off-the-charts, and it would be a main roster Match of the Year candidate if it were to take place.

Because Styles and Rollins are on different brands, it’s hard to hold out hope for this title match materializing, but it’s something to watch for, pending what happens during the Superstar Shakeup on April 15. If Styles crosses over to Raw, then murmurs about this potential title match will begin.

Styles is, of course, a two-time WWE Champion, and he’ll be gunning for a Grand Slam in the promotion before hanging his boots; the Universal Title would be the toughest prize to capture and his first priority.
