WWE Championship Match: AJ Styles (c) vs. The Miz vs. Samoa Joe

After toppling Randy Orton at WrestleMania 36, the former WWE Champion AJ Styles will be looking to move his way back into that title picture. If pushed to the limit, he may do so and regain his title by any means necessary, becoming the despised version of “The Phenomenal One” that we saw earlier in his WWE career. On the other hand, The Miz, a long-time bad guy, has become a true fan-favorite. Much in the way that The Miz was a great counterpart to Daniel Bryan because of their drastically different wrestling styles and paths, The Miz would be an equally great counterpart to AJ Styles.

The Miz last captured the WWE Championship in 2010, a full decade before the time it will be when WrestleMania 36 rolls around. On top of that, you’ve got the ever hungry Samoa Joe, who should eventually lose the US Title and move on to a bigger prize. Joe’s path to WWE was similar to that of Styles, but they’ve taken very different paths since getting there. Joe’s willingness to destroy anything in his path, whether in NXT or WWE, has made him a threat to anyone and everyone. For The Miz, there’s no better place or challenging pair of opponents to complete his ascent back to the top than facing AJ Styles and Samoa Joe at “The Granddaddy of Them All.”

Universal Championship Match: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth Rollins

Last year, we saw Roman Reigns finally capture the Universal Championship after constantly falling short against Brock Lesnar. He vanquished that demon, only to be forced to relinquish the title to fight leukemia. Amazingly, Reigns sent his disease back into remission and returned, defeating Drew McIntyre this year at WrestleMania 35. By the time WrestleMania 36 rolls around, we can almost certainly expect “The Big Dog” back at the top of his game leading the WWE.

However, to reach that role, he’ll have to topple longtime friend and rival Seth Rollins. Once defeated, there’s no doubt “The Beast Slayer” will be eager and willing to do anything he needs, even win the Royal Rumble for a second year in a row, to put himself back in the main event of WrestleMania with a shot at the Universal Championship. There may be no better finale in Tampa Bay than seeing these two Shield brothers, who have an abundance of history between them, face off at the end of WrestleMania 36.
