Sasha Banks could lead the Blue Brand

Lastly, this could be a means of passing the torch to Sasha Banks. Becky Lynch is the inaugural SmackDown Women’s Champion. No other woman on the roster, other than possibly Alexa Bliss, is as synonymous with the title. Besides, she absolutely made the championship more relevant during her second reign.

Moreover, Lynch has been a part of the SmackDown roster for three years. If 2019 will mark the year that she makes her triumphant return to Monday Night Raw, then Banks has to be at the top of the list of worthy successors.

The blue brand needs a new woman to lead the division into the next calendar year, and Sasha could definitely use a change of scenery. She has also been on Raw for three years. If WWE wants to do a changing of the guard, she would be a great choice.

It would be fitting to see two stalwarts of their respective brands in a championship match, that could kickstart their time on a new roster. That creates an interesting story coming out of the Superstar Shake-up as well.

Sasha has never won the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Winning it from Lynch would be a fitting and memorable introduction to the brand, and a good send off for Becky.
