SmackDown to Raw – Charlotte Flair
Regardless of whether she’s been on Raw or SmackDown, wherever Charlotte has gone, she’s been a success. Almost too much so. As the current record holder for women’s championship reigns, Charlotte needs to do some favors for a while.
There’s nothing left on SmackDown for Charlotte. She’s feuded with everyone. She’s beaten everyone. In names like Bayley and Ember Moon, she at least has opponents she’s never beaten before. Lacey Evans too presents something new for Flair to face off with. Most importantly, none of those are currently championship contenders. Yes, that includes current championship contender Lacey Evans.
Flair must be kept away from the title at all costs and, given how the last eight months has gone, she also needs to keep her distance from the champion, Becky Lynch. The easiest way to do that? A move to Raw.
The absence of Flair could be very beneficial for quite a few big names on SmackDown. The most obvious benefactor would be Asuka; who has come off second best in every single encounter with The Queen so far. Others such as Carmella and the developing Rose and Deville would also be able to rise faster without someone so powerful standing over them.
Honestly, I think this year might be Charlotte’s least successful year in professional wrestling. That said, even Flair’s least successful year is likely to be considerably more successful than your average good year in wrestling.
Anyone who lines up against Flair will benefit. Now is definitely the time to give a little back to those that helped make the name.
