WWE Superstar Shakeup 2019: Full Predictions For Call-Ups, Trades
By Tom Colohue
NXT to Raw – Sky Pirates
We start off hot and we start off high as the Sky Pirates are my first choice for a call up to Raw.
The women are in need of tag teams first and foremost and even though the Sky Pirates seem to be a favorite for the call-up team mentioned by Paige, I’ve gone with Raw because SmackDown already has two established tag teams in the Iiconics and Absolution.
Nia Jax is currently injured and, for me, is wrong for the tag division at the moment anyway. The worst thing about her injury is knowing that we won’t now get the feud with Becky Lynch that we’ve been waiting for since November.
That leaves Raw with only one established tag team. Sasha Banks and Bayley, who just lost the tag titles. Imagine Sasha Banks and Bayley vs the Sky Pirates for a moment.
That was a fun moment, wasn’t it?
Sane and Shirai don’t just offer an expansion to the tag division of course. Both women could put on great matches with talented women such as Ember Moon and Mickie James. Now that Rousey is out of the picture, the Raw Women’s Championship could be changing hands more often so I could see both women being involved in title feuds with Lynch or Evans, despite thinking that neither are likely to take the actual title.
By and large, the Sky Pirates would be spending most of their time in the tag division, ensuring high quality matches with all opponents and ensuring that the women’s tag divisions are a guarantee of quality on whatever show they’re on.
