Sami Zayn

Making his return after two torn rotator cuffs, Sami Zayn made it clear to the WWE Universe that he absolutely despises them. Zayn cannot stand how fans fail to show accountability for their actions, and he cannot stand how they talk about wrestlers. His scathing promo on the Raw after WrestleMania received rave reviews, though it came after he fell short in an Intercontinental Championship match with Finn Balor.

Despite being one of the most respected professional wrestlers of the past 10 years, Zayn has yet to win a title on the main roster. His NXT Championship victory over Neville and ensuing feud with frenemy Kevin Owens stand the test of time as one of the brand’s best stories, and Zayn was part of a major program leading up to Daniel Bryan’s in-ring return at WrestleMania 34.

That said, Zayn still hasn’t had anything approaching a crowning moment on the main roster. Perhaps that could change at Money in the Bank, with Zayn grabbing the briefcase and completing a minor upset.

In the past, we’ve seen Zayn’s strategizing backstage, as he’s driven tag team partners insane with his meticulous planning. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns had some fun with that when Zayn “replaced” Dean Ambrose in a match, and it’d be interesting to see Zayn’s cunning at work as a heel briefcase holder. Even if he currently hates everything about the WWE Universe – and he has good reasons for these feelings, because we are a toxic fanbase – I think pretty much every fan can agree that he’s earned a huge moment.
