Intercontinental Championship Match: Ali (c) vs. Ricochet vs. Finn Bálor vs. Aleister Black

I’m of the belief that the stellar pairing of Ricochet and Aleister Black is a short-term thing. Additionally, I’m of the belief that their split may not end up being the most amicable thing in the world. They were thrown together simply because they were both NXT superstars new to the main roster. Their journey as a team has literally played out in front of us over the past, what, two months? If that?

Once they are finally a former tag team, I expect both superstars to compete against one another, with Black the more likely “villain” of the duo. Yes, no man is ever truly evil, but a lot can be done with shades of (dark) grey.

By the time WWE SummerSlam 2019 rolls around, I also expect Finn Bálor to have dropped the Intercontinental Championship. There’s probably bigger things possible for him, but in the later part of this year. He can still be sniffing around the title through the summer.

Ali is someone I could see earning the Money in the Bank contract, and possibly even the Intercontinental Championship. Remember, he debuted on SmackDown right smack in the middle of the WWE Championship picture. And were it not for an unfortunate injury, Ali could have really wowed some people in the Elimination Chamber and solidified his spot in the main event scene.

Take those four superstars, give them 15 minutes at SummerSlam, and bingo, you’ve got a show-stealer. It seems easy to say that it’s easy to do, but, well, it’s easy to do.
