WWE SummerSlam 2019: Match Card Predictions After WrestleMania 35

Raw Women’s Championship Match: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bayley
As I alluded to before, I think WWE is getting us set for a real Four Horsewomen resurgence. Ronda Rousey is likely taking some time off, Asuka always seems to be an afterthought, Nia Jax is injured — it’s really the Four Horsewomen’s time to shine and carry the division forward. You could make a case for Alexa Bliss and Naomi, but most other superstars — Carmella, Ember Moon, Sonya Deville, Mandy Rose — are not yet to the point of being the face of the division.
If Sasha and Charlotte rekindle their feud for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, maybe it’s time to rehabilitate Bayley as a singles competitor and pair her off with Becky Lynch. You can’t say Bayley, a former women’s champion, isn’t capable of that sort of a feud.
Right now, it’s hard to argue anyone in WWE being more popular than Becky Lynch. It wasn’t that long ago that no one was more popular in NXT than Bayley, so the foundations for a story are right there. Maybe Bayley can lean into a dark side and go the whole “they don’t really care about you” route in egging Becky on.
It’s also the perfect time to set Becky, Charlotte, Bayley, and Sasha on one another, because with Rousey temporarily out, it gives some breathing room to allow Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke, and Marina Shafir to work their way up to the main roster. I wouldn’t be surprised if by Tampa in 2020, WrestleMania features an eight-Horsewomen tag team main event — or featured match, at very least.
