With the Superstar Shakeup looming, these are the five NXT/NXT UK standouts who could receive a promotion to the main roster this week.

With WrestleMania 35 in the rearview mirror, WWE will now look ahead to their annual roster reshuffling known as the Superstar Shakeup.

Despite the company glossing over the semantics of the Shakeup (are the McMahons, who assumed joint control of RAW and SmackDown last December, trading amongst themselves? Will there be new authority figures in place to preside over this?), the Superstar Shakeup represents a fresh start creatively for the company.

Once this is over, we’ll get an idea of what the hierarchy on both shows will look like along with several matchups that fans either haven’t seen in a while or haven’t seen at all (of course, WWE will probably give some of them away on television to fill their never-ending content mill).

Along with several RAW/SmackDown swaps, we should also expect a few call-ups from WWE’s developmental brand, NXT. Historically, company CEO and creative headman Vince McMahon has arbitrarily selected NXT talent with little regard for the storylines the NXT creative team has in place for the wrestler or experience level of the worker earmarked for the main roster. Chances are, McMahon will pluck a few more random NXT names to replenish his pool of wrestlers.

So which ones will be fortunate — or unfortunate, depending on your perspective — enough to move up to the big shows? How will they fare? Will they receive a big push out of the gate if they get called up or will they get tossed onto the mid-card carousel after a few weeks? These names could be considered.
