Superstar Shakeup begins

Stephanie McMahon enters the arena to kick off this year’s Superstar Shakeup, and she introduces her brother Shane McMahon as “The Best in the World”. Montreal, of course, doesn’t take kindly to his entrance.

“They love us in Canada.”

As always, Stephanie knows what’s up.

Shane gets Mike Rome to do the whole “Best in the World” introduction, to which the crowd gives him CM Punk chants. So Shane starts yelling “Best in the World” in French at the top of his lungs, and the crowd just isn’t having it. More excellent heel work from Shane.

Before Stephanie could announce Raw’s newest superstar, Shane asked the production team to throw up more images of Shane terrorizing Miz’s dad. And just before Stephanie could announce Raw’s next big star, The Miz’s music hit and he attacked Shane from behind.

The two began brawling, with Shane gaining the upper hand by dumping Miz over the barricade. But Miz emerged with a steel chair, working to get revenge on what happened during the Falls Count Anywhere match at WrestleMania.

The Miz cut the side of his head, so he looked incredible with blood pouring down his face and the steel chair raised with Shane retreating. I’m still #here for this feud.

Grade: B, The heel work from Shane and Stephanie was OK, but this was all about the final shot of The Miz, screaming with the steel chair raised triumphantly and blood all over his face.
