10. His Final WWE Promo

2019 served as Batista’s farewell tour from the world of wrestling. Despite the fact that he was on his last legs as a professional wrestler, the Marvel star still had it in him to give us a few lasting moments to remember him by on the road to WrestleMania.

While his unexpected attack on Ric Flair during his Raw birthday celebration was met with confusion – but intrigue – and his preceding “GIVE ME WHAT I WANT” segment with Triple H the following week was meme’d to death, his proceeding live feed promos on the titantron were legitimately exhilarating to witness. They went a long ways to show us how vastly Dave’s acting chops improved compared to his last run thanks to his newfound training as a Hollywood actor.

However, his zenith hour – promo-wise – came on the final Raw before WrestleMania 35 where the voice behind Drax the Destroyer had one final message for Triple H. He didn’t say much of anything, but it was wholly effective. All he did was point to tron, showed a video package of him whupping Triple H like a scolded dog over the years, looked down the barrel of a camera and said “Kiss my ass.” Then left.

In proving that sometimes, less is more when it comes to character and promo work, Batista delivered one of the best promos we’ve seen on television in a long time.
