Mandy Rose

A few months ago, Mandy Rose seemed to be high on WWE’s list of superstars to push in 2019, and she checks off all the boxes that Vince McMahon seems to look for. But what makes Mandy so intriguing, beyond the fact that few superstars have improved as much as her since the start of 2018, is her ruthless character.

Mandy was heinous in her feud with Naomi, to the point where there can be no redemption for her character as a villainous heel. She is so cutthroat that there is no line she won’t cross to capture the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship, and this even struck her best friend Sonya Deville, who was shocked at how far Rose was willing to go to hurt Naomi.

As an athlete, Mandy Rose is one of the strongest women in WWE, as she’s able to squat over 300 pounds. Her offense in the ring is based on power, and her knee strike is among the most damaging in WWE. Rose’s move-set matches her character well; she is brutal and wants to punish her opponents without remorse.

With her ability to damage her opponents psychologically and physically, Mandy has a world of potential, especially if WWE book her carefully and appropriately. Rose is a good bet to be a champion at this level, because while there are better wrestlers in the ring on SmackDown like Ember and Kairi, Rose offers something different from the others as a heel. A heel Rose vs. babyface Sane feud could be quite underrated.
