2. Asuka

Bayley’s list of accomplishments is as impressive as any. She’s a former Raw and NXT Women’s Champion, a former tag team champion, and she was also the NXT Female Competitor of the Year and Match of the Year winner in 2015.

Despite overcoming just about every obstacle in front of her, Bayley has yet to defeat Asuka.

It was Asuka who put an end to Bayley’s 223-day reign as NXT Women’s Champion, and ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’ was once again victorious in Bayley’s final NXT match at TakeOver: Brooklyn II.

In the months following Asuka’s arrival on the main roster, she picked up another victory over Bayley on Raw before moving to SmackDown in the spring.

Asuka’s focus may be on The IIconic’s titles as she teams up with SmackDown debutant Kairi Sane, but somewhere down the line, Bayley needs to finally defeat the longest-reigning NXT champion in history.

Bayley is at her best when she’s the underdog, and that should be the case in this feud. Imagine a scenario in which Asuka turns heel and begins a new undefeated streak as SmackDown Women’s Champion. Enter ‘The Huggable One’, who finally picks up a W over Asuka to win gold on the blue brand for the first time.
