5. Kevin Owens

The New Day must have been busy at IHOP during “The Festival of Friendship.”

All I could think of when watching SmackDown Live this past week was that Kingston and Woods could not be more gullible as they welcomed Kevin Owens into their circle as an honorary member of their illustrious group.

Kevin Owens does not have a soul of use to anyone besides the family he provides for at home (in the sense of kayfabe; I’m sure he’s a peach in real life).  Chris Jericho and Sami Zayn know this first-hand.  Both were led to believe that Kevin Owens was their closest advocate, and both were stabbed in the back as soon as Owens thought it would benefit his career.

Just a few weeks ago, Owens returned to SmackDown and unapologetically accepted the WWE Championship opportunity that was meant for Kofi Kingston at Fastlane.  Then, he was completely left off of the WrestleMania 35 card.  All of a sudden, he wants to dance and succumb to the “Power of Positivity”?

Kevin Owens is going to turn on The New Day.  At the moment, he is buttering up both Kingston and Woods as they are vulnerable without their iron hand in Big E.  When the time is right, Kevin Owens will show he true black heart and will go after Kingston’s WWE Championship in what could end up being the defining rivalry of Kofi Kingston’s WWE Championship reign….and possibly of his career.
