After tremendous performances at both WWE WrestleMania and Monday Night Raw, the sky could truly be the limit for The Miz as a face.

“Let’s go Miz!” chants rang out across the arena on Monday Night Raw, as one of the top heels of the past decade in WWE masterfully staged a captivating comeback against two of the red brand’s biggest villains.

In perhaps one of the most surprising and effective role reversals in recent WWE history, The Miz has become one of the best faces in the entire company lately.

During his partnership and subsequent feud with Shane McMahon, The Miz has been able to show a breadth of character most fans would have never expected from WWE’s resident ‘A-lister’.

The Miz has been able to play every role thrown at him, from entertaining comedy act to fiery babyface looking for vengeance, with as much expertise as any of the company’s traditional headlining faces.

Overall, it’s really been something to watch. I would be hard pressed to think of a superstar who’s been able to transition from heel to face as naturally as The Miz has.

All of the mic skills we’ve come to expect from The Miz as a heel seems to have translated seamlessly into this face run.

That’s without even mentioning how his move-set has opened up far beyond what we typically have come to expect from the former WrestleMania main-eventer. Springboard attacks and massive dives out of the ring were suddenly added to The Miz’s repertoire, and were all on display during his aforementioned triple threat match on Raw against Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre.

It’s performances like that which make you wonder what exactly the ceiling is for The Miz as a face. With that level of energy, captured both in the ring and in the audience, it almost seems like it may just be a matter of time before The Miz is taking on someone like Samoa Joe for the United States Championship.

In fact, I would even go as far as saying that we could see The Miz going after the Universal Championship before the end of 2019 at the rate he’s going. His run has been that plain impressive thus far.

If he can pull off more outstanding performances like the one on Raw, or better yet like his show-stealing match at WrestleMania, then who knows what heights The Miz could reach this year.

At the end of the day, it all just shows not only how great of a performer The Miz really is, but the level of rewards that WWE can reap from creatively booking their most talented performers.

The Miz’s meteoric rise as a face, along with other brilliant character changes like Daniel Bryan’s heel turn, could very well be the key to WWE keeping some of their top stars and shows feeling fresh and exciting.

I, for one, personally can’t wait to see what’s next for The Miz in his newest starring role as one of WWE’s headlining heroes.
