WWE: Charlotte Flair getting another championship opportunity is wrong

It’s a rare moment when wrestling makes my soul tired. My brain is tired, my spirit is tired and just straight up worn out. Something in me literally gets drained milliseconds after Charlotte Flair’s theme song comes on.

The same happened on Monday night when WWE aired an advertisement for the April 23, 2019 episode of Smackdown Live and it basically stated that Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair would be facing each other for the first time since WrestleMania 35.

Correction: They’ll be facing each other for the 15th billionth time!

Sweet Mother Of God! I just couldn’t believe it they were giving us this again.

It’s like when Doctor Strange had the time stone on repeat and it was just torture. That’s exactly what this is… torture!

The fans aired out the same feelings I did when the ad aired and what happened in the Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair promo segment definitely didn’t help matters any — even after Bayley went gangsta on us all.

Now Becky did speak a lot of truth, though.

Please tell me when you find the lie in what she said!

Becky literally said what at least ninety percent of what the WWE universe is thinking — either that or whatever writers are left (shade!) wrote the script based off what the fans have been feeling for years now.

Let’s go back to Charlotte’s NXT days. Not long after she left out the gate people were already speculating that she was only there because of who her dad is. Now that’s not entirely fair to say — not entirely. She is one of the most athletic women in the entire company.

But, WWE exploiting that connection when she got to the main roster and for as long as they did (and low key continue to do) definitely left a sour taste in the mouth of WWE’s fanbase. WWE loves to shove her down our throats every single chance they get. It’s baffling.

It feels like they give her championship opportunities and championship reigns like every 24 hours. And the worse part? Every championship reign after that third one was completely unnecessary. They know that!

That only pisses off the fans even more — which gives Charlotte heat, which gives her and WWE creative the opportunity to use the fans as fuel and reasoning to put her in whatever situation at will.

Either way, WWE Creative and Vince McMahon easily get what they want regardless of what the fans want. They’re not even shy about it anymore. They’ve become blatant with this.

My God! How much more blatant can they be?

Oh, wait…

(Crickets)

You have got to be joking. Oh? They’re not joking?

My god, they are not…

They are not kidding. They are seriously giving (whoops, I mean, handing) this woman yet another championship opportunity!

Then, tried to frame it with her “winning” a match to really try to sow the narrative that she “earned” another championship opportunity.

Oh, stop it! Stop it!

This woman stopped having to “earn” stuff a very long time ago.

That’s not entirely a bad thing when you have worked hard and have authentically (authentically being the key word) earned accomplishments to the point where you can do that (like John Cena for example). She has when it comes to her talent in the ring.

That’s not in question.

But it’s the booking. The booking is killing us!

It’s also the fact that they seem to be giving her way more championship opportunities, ring time, and air time then quite literally every other woman in the entire company (pretty much).

There’s a whole bunch of other talented women, including veterans like Natalya, Naomi, and Mickie James, that also deserve those kinds of chances.

Now I can’t speak for you on this. But, I don’t know how much more of this I can take. I really am running out of words to describe this situation we the fans seem to have found our selves in,

But, just when you think it couldn’t get worse…

Oh, wait!

So…

You’re telling me that Becky Lynch is having two title matches at Money In The Bank… against two white women that are both blondes.

— Takes a breath —

Ok. I’m back now. I was literally getting ready to pop a gasket.

– sighs –

Now… you do know the last person who held two belts simultaneously? The last time I checked it was Seth Rollins.

And you know what happened when he had to defend them both in one night? He lost (or dropped) one of those titles.

Way too much irony in this. This is WWE. So, more than likely, history of going repeat itself again. Now there’s only… one problem. No biggie.

** Low fake laughter **

Neither of these women are great options!

Charlotte Flair has had way too many championship reigns in just the past years alone and Lacey Evans (out of all the women on Monday Night Raw) was the wrong choice.

As a matter of fact, this might get predictable real quick because Lacey Evans winning the Raw women’s championship isn’t likely.  But, Charlotte Flair not getting the Smackdown Women’s Championship back isn’t likely either.

Becky’s not losing both in the same night — I don’t think.

Next. The Miz has been a revelation as a babyface. dark

You do have a Ms. Money In The Bank to think about all night (unless the women’s MITB ladder match is main eventing, that is).

Sasha Banks being in that ladder match, winning it, and cashing in at one of those matches might be the only saving grace here.  Otherwise, it’s definitely a lose-lose situation for the fans.
