Impact X-Division Championship Match: Rich Swann (c) vs. Sami Callihan

The X-Division Championship is pretty unfamiliar with personal rivalries, at least recently. These two have been going at it on television since January but apparently, much longer than that in life.

Sami Callihan offered Rich Swann a spot in oVe, as he views the champ as family much like his beloved Crist brothers. Swann denied the role, leaving Callihan disgruntled, bringing up the past where he claims he gave Swann a home when he had nowhere to go.

The search for a new member didn’t stop, as he invested in Madman Fulton to be the group’s new heavy. Swann has suffered numerous beatdowns by Callihan and the gang as a consequence but looks to get his revenge as the two clash at Rebellion in an X-Division Championship bout.

With Sami Callihan’s recent demands for the match to be made into oVe Rules, expect a brutal war filled with some high stakes drama similar to Callihan’s match with Pentagon Jr. from The Rebel in 2018.

I would love to see Swann put him in his place here, but Callihan has made a habit of losing big feuds. I’m pretty 50/50 here but I’ll go with The Draw.
