1. Kofi Kingston

Many wondered if Kofi Kingston would ever get a shot at the big time after more than a decade of service to the WWE. In the most unexpected rise WWE has seen in a long time, Kofi finally got that shot and for the first time in his career, captured the WWE Championship by defeating ‘The New’ Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35.

It was a long time coming for one of the most underutilized superstars in WWE history, and in the weeks that have followed, Kofi has defended his title multiple times already and successfully walked away with title in hand each time.

Not even the injury of fellow New Day member Big E could slow down Kofi’s reign, until a strategic Kevin Owens entered the picture.

He posed as an honorary member of The New Day for a couple of weeks before inevitably turning on Kofi and Xavier Woods. Owens’ mindset was squarely on Kofi’s WWE Championship, which he will get a shot at winning at Money In The Bank.

This has been a stellar feud up to this point and these two should have a great match, but the result can’t be anything except Kofi retaining his title.

It just wouldn’t make sense for KO to dethrone Kofi at this point, especially given how Kofi has only had a month or so long of a title reign after waiting 11 years. This feud could continue longer if everything works out, but no matter what happens at Money In The Bank, Kofi needs to retain the WWE Championship and continue his reign.

‘Big O’ has been crafty in gaining a WWE Championship match, but this isn’t his time, and Kofi’s reign at the top of the mountain must continue.
