2. Randy Orton

Never count out The Viper.

Randy Orton has made a history of winning things when there doesn’t seem to be anything lined up to follow. His previous Money In The Bank win was an unexpected one that played a major part in the rise of Daniel Bryan. The old Daniel Bryan. The one people liked. His previous Royal Rumble win was an unexpected one that played a major part in the rise of Bray Wyatt. The old Bray Wyatt. The one people also liked.

There is of course plentiful history between Randall Keith Orton and the champion that he would be challenging: Kofi Kingston. It’s widely believed that Orton nixed Kingston’s first major push to the top. Kingston has also run through Orton a number of times since his rise to prominence, both in the Elimination Chamber match and in gauntlet matches thereafter.

Orton’s whole character at the moment is as a sadistic hero destroying heel. If anything, he is currently back to being the Legend Killer. This time, he is also the legend.
