3 Biggest Storylines Heading Into WWE Money In The Bank 2019
With WWE Money In The Bank 2019 coming up this Sunday night, things are heating up in the WWE for a night that could help change the careers of several superstars on the roster.
WWE Money In The Bank 2019 will feature the two traditional Money in the Bank ladder matches for the men and women, but outside of those two matches, there are several other key battles set to take place.
There are a few championships on the line and stakes will be high, but which storylines are the biggest heading into the event? Here are the three biggest storylines heading into WWE Money In The Bank 2019.
3. The reemergence Of the true Kevin Owens
As a former Universal Champion and multiple time United States/Intercontinental Champion, Kevin Owens has had plenty of success during his nearly four-year run on the main roster in the WWE. And in basically that entire time, he did so as a strategic, dastardly heel.
However, once he returned from injury prior to the Fastlane pay-per-view earlier this year, he was a babyface for a while. He even joined The New Day as an honorary member while Big E is out with injury, but it was all a ruse to worm his way into a WWE Championship match against Kofi Kingston.
Kofi realized a dream by winning the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35 against Daniel Bryan, but there’s no time to celebrate as he has quickly found out.
Owens turned on Kofi and Xavier Woods a few weeks ago and since then, the match was made official for Money In The Bank between Kingston and Owens with the WWE Championship on the line.
This has quickly developed into one of the WWE’s top feuds heading into Money In The Bank thanks to KO showing his true colors and intentions once and for all.
This version of Owens is as good of a heel as the WWE has to offer, and that could potentially spell doom for Kofi’s WWE Championship reign.
It still feels like Kofi should retain his title, but with how strategic Owens has been in the previous few weeks, he appears to have Kofi off of his game a bit in a storyline sense. Can KO parlay that into his first-ever WWE Championship reign?
We’ll find out soon enough, but KO definitely seems to be up to the challenge of dethroning the meteoric rise of Kofi.
